WE ARE THE ECKHARDT TEAM:
We will provide hands-on service to buyers & sellers who are navigating the world of real estate. Whether you are considering home ownership for the first time or in the market for your forever home, we are here to manage the process while you make all the decisions.
Real estate is the second career for all of us: Sean retired from military service after 26 years, serving in both the ARMY & NAVY (1985-2011), many of those years he spent as a military recruiter. Knowing his personality as a strong negotiator and problem solver, a family friend suggested real estate to him. He found his home at Ruhl & Ruhl Realtors in 2011. As the business grew, so did his need for assistance, so keeping it in the family he recruited Stephanie to form our team. In 2017, I "retired" from 23 years in education, where I was a teacher, counselor, and coach. In 2024, our daughter, Makenzie Nelson, left the mental health social services career field after 10 years, to join the family team.
As a FAMILY team, we are grounded in our integrity and a strong desire to help you become the best version of YOU!
We are family, and the Quad Cities is our home. Sean and Stephanie have raised their four children in the Quad Cities on both sides of the river. We currently reside in Eldridge, but have lived in Rock Island, Davenport, Bettendorf, and the Rock Island Arsenal. Our children have been involved in athletics, choir, band, drama, and other school, church, and community organizations. In our free time, we enjoy traveling, reading, golfing, volunteering in our community, and being "Papa" and "Normi" to our beautiful granddaughters.
Makenzie carries on our passion for service in the Quad Cities. She attended Alleman High School and is a proud graduate of Davenport West High School (like Sean). After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa (like Stephanie), she came home to start her family and career. Makenzie and her husband wanted to raise their family within the diverse culture of the Quad Cities and the friendliness of the Midwest. Makenzie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading fantastical fiction books, being a wife and mom to her 2 daughters, 2 cats, and a host of plants.
"Home ownership is the cornerstone of a strong community." (Renzi) Together we can make the Quad Cities the best place to live!!!

Sean & Stephanie were extraordinarily friendly and knowledgeable about everything we asked about and encountered. They pointed out problems we hadn't thought about and suggested solutions to resolve them. Every part of the process was explained very well and we never felt lost or confused....
In a very challenging buyers market Stephanie went above and beyond to find houses suited to my needs. She made herself available constantly and showed me dozens of houses before I found my home. As a first time homebuyer she took the time to make sure I understood the process and made informed...
